auction block, Marshall Land Brokers and Auctioneers offer three custom made auction
toppers for on-site sale use. The toppers create an obvious center of attention and
provide the auctioneer with the best possible vantage point regardless of the weather or
terrain. State of the art sound systems built into the toppers insure professional
auctions. Marshalls are also pleased to provide a mobile office trailer that is perfect for on-site auctions. This 18 foot custom trailer and computerized clerking system allow buyers to settle-up quickly and away from the elements. It keeps things more organized, while creating a professional atmosphere. A computer generated mailing list experienced clerks, cashiers and ring people and auctioneers with years of experience and knowledge round out the professional auction equation. |

MARKETING:
Marshall Land Brokers and Auctioneers have won numerous advertising awards in recent years. Marshalls go to great lengths to establish a proper advertising budget and a program specially suited to fit their clients needs. Target audiences are identified first then a customized ad budget is put together.
Mailing lists are an integral part of the ad process. For more than 40 years, Marshall Land Brokers have cultivated and established a strong relationship with thousands of customers. ACCOUNTING:
The final step in the auction process -- accounting -- actually begins with the initial client visit. Inventories are compiled, ad budgets are set sale expenses are receipted, and auction totals are tallied. Marshall's computerized system assembles all information and provides a complete and detailed final report. All funds are deposited. Monies are settled in 12 business days or less on personal property. This provides a clear audit trail for all transactions, and provides clients with another important service -- accountability.
PERSONNEL:
Robin Marshall and Miles Marshall are the principals of Marshall Land Brokers and Auctioneers. Robin, a lifetime resident of Phelps County Nebraska, is a licensed real estate salesperson and auctioneer. He has over 40 years experience in the auction business specializing in farm equipment and agricultural land auctions. Robin, having been raised on a farm, has first hand knowledge of agriculture.
Robin served 7 years on the Board of Directors of the National Auctioneers Association
and was elected as president for the
1995-1996 term. Robin is a recipient of the Nebraska Auctioneer of the year award and was
a three time finalist in the International Auctioneer Contest. Robin served 6
years on the National Auctioneers Association Foundation board of Trustees, 3
years as treasure. He has served as an
instructor for numerous auction marketing workshops and courses on a national basis,
traveling to 26 states across the nation. Robin also was the author of several
"How-To" articles for the National Auctioneer Magazine. This love for
auctioneering carries through to the many fund raising and charity auctions he performs
annually.
Robin was inducted into the National Auctioneers Hall of Fame in 2002 and was inducted into the Nebraska Auctioneers Hall of Fame in 2003.
He has conducted auctions for churches, YMCA, American Heart Association, Museum of Nebraska Art, Sertoma, Rotary, Kearney Area Arts Council, 4-H Livestock, Boy Scouts, Kearney Area Children's Museum and various Calcutta's plus GOLD (Catholic School Fund Raiser), Blue Gold University of Nebraska, Kearney. He has conducted auctions for several Ducks Unlimited chapters, Nebraska Safari International, Pheasants Forever, Phelps County Foundation and many other organizations. He has helped raised over five million dollars for charities. Robin has also served on numerous community boards and committees; he has served as chairman for many of them.
Robin and his wife Judy have three sons and eleven grandchildren. His son Miles joins him in their business. Miles Marshall, a licensed real estate broker and auctioneer, received his B.S. degree from Kearney State College in Business Administration both an emphasis in real estate. He is a 1978 graduate of Missouri Auction School in Kansas City and has 30 years experience as a real estate broker/auctioneer. Miles holds the Certified Auctioneer's Institute designation representing the highest level of education available in the auction industry throughout the United States.
Miles, a real estate specialist has sold numerous farms during his career earning him the distinction of selling more farms by auction or private treaty than any other individual in Nebraska.
Miles has a high level of expertise in marketing and handles the advertising and marketing for the company.
Due to his extensive experience Miles possesses the knowledge of values that are beneficial to both the client and the company. In 1997, Miles declared the Nebraska Champion Auctioneer and has been active in the Nebraska & National Auctioneers Association. He has served as Secretary-Treasurer of the State Association and served 3 years on the Board of Directors of the Nebraska Auctioneers Association. Like his father, Miles has also been involved in fund raising -- serving as auctioneer for the Kearney Catholic School fund raiser. He has helped raise over $1,500,000 within 12 years.
Miles and his wife Brenda have three daughters and live in Kearney, Nebraska.
